In addition to acupuncture, we've recently added nutritional IV drip therapy to our service offerings at our Glendale Arrowhead location. Our Modern Acupuncture team of practitioners and professionals are constantly looking for ways to fulfill our mission of making lives better. We discovered that Vitamin IV Therapy utilization was on the rise with exponentially more people using this treatment to improve their overall health. After looking into the benefits of IV Therapy, we realized that it is a natural complement to Acupuncture treatments. Because of this, we have added IV Therapy as an additional service in the Glendale and Peoria communities to support many of our patients.
Terry M Heaps, OMD, L.Ac. #104075Terry attended the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston Texas. She was inspired to become an acupuncturist by her mentor in Martial Arts who was also an acupuncturist, and thought she would be great at it. Terry loves that acupuncture can alleviate the pain and suffering of patients without burdening them with side effects. She choose to become part of the Modern Acupuncture team in Glendale because she believes that the quality control and vision will advance acupuncture and make it mainstream. Outside of work, Terry loves to teach Martial Arts, do DIY projects, and do outdoor activities such as archery.
Dr. Brit Ferrell, Medical DirectorDr. Ferrell has been providing leadership as a medical director for over 20 years and is board certified in Emergency Medicine—which he has practiced for 23 years. He is a trained and certified medical aesthetic medical director. He received his MD as well as his MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He ensures appropriate medical supervision of the patient care policies, procedures, and protocols used at Modern Acupuncture for their nutritional IV Therapy drips and Vitamin Shots. Dr. Ferrell has healthcare executive experience as a senior vice-president with Envision Healthcare—a fortune 500 company—specializing in operations. Prior to this role, he served as the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the executive team for Scottsdale Emergency Associates. He is the former medical director of the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Emergency Department, chairman of Pharmacy and Therapeutics for Honor Health and chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine as well as a member of the Medical Executive committee for the Honor Health system. His research interests include optimizing pain management and patient satisfaction as well as physician motivation/efficiency. He lives in Peoria with his wife and four children and is an avid golfer.

Tried the rejuvenate iv drip to see if it would help with my inflammation. Three days later and I am still shocked about how much better I feel. Would highly recommend this location for iv therapy as the overall experience felt top notch.
I'm a regular patient here and a big believer in acupuncture. They just recently added Vitamin IV Therapy as a service which I tried yesterday. I had a long weekend full of my kids activities leaving me feeling a bit run down. For that reason, I selected the Recover IV drip. I was able to receive my normal acupuncture treatment at the same time as the IV and I left there feeling great!
I just received my first IV Therapy from Modern Acupuncture. I tried the Myers IV and let me tell you, I've had 5 IV's in the past and this was by far the best. From the service, to the massage chair, to the scenic imagery playing on large TV's up above, it was awesome. All of that, plus the infusion of vitamins and hydration, I left there feeling like a new person. I plan on going back next week to get a vitamin shot of B12 or Vitamin C to keep my immune system working its best.
